The wind is blowing and it is super cold here in Virginia. Thankfully the sun is out. I need the light.
The new year is finally here and I have been sensing in my spirit that this year is going to be significant is so many ways. I believe this year, we are going to see the answer to many prayers that seem to have been dragging their feet. I feel like I have been holding on to the end of his robe refusing to let go of Him but too weak to stand up and go, so He has been dragging me. There are things I am tired of asking for and so much time and silence have passed that the want for those things have almost left entirely. I feel His Spirit blowing on my "want" and the verse that came to mind to me last night as I was walking across the cold wood floor was "renew a right spirit within me." This is only something He can do, renewing my spirit, and I know it was Him telling me so and encouraging me to ask Him to.
God gives some people a word for the year or a verse or whatever. To my surprise He gave me a song yesterday. It is more personal than my words can describe or I can even articulate for myself but I would like to share it with you. It is not just a song "for" me but a call to me, a vision.
Here's to the new year, Beautiful Surrender!
